Inspired by the April 2024 eclipse, this composition is created from several overlapping minutes as the sky reached totality on the side of a Mt. in Huntington, VT. The color of the sky and silhouette of the mts are taken from observation. The mirror image below- is the range of color in reverse as the sky moved from totality back out into daylight. Like the other grids, this piece of 24 individual squares can be rearranged at the whim of the beholder.

View of grid composition in original configuration, as painted on easel, 24" x 36", an assemblage of the 1.5 minutes leading up to the eclipse and the 1.5 minutes afterwards.

View of grid composition in alternative configuration B, 24" x 36", stacked and angled form.

View of grid composition in alternative configuration C, ~28" x ~42" overall with white space in between.

View of individual squares comprising the work, 24 Qty, 6" x 6" canvas squares, with side edges painted- one brush stroke wide. A viewer can rearrange these in other configurations as their imagination allows.
